Which End of the Banana Do You Talk Into? In today's "Metropolitan Diary," there's a story of what can only be called New York street parody. A man rode the subway from 23rd Street up to 66th Street talking to half the western world on a banana. The punchline: As the man left the train at 66th Street, the young man standing to my left wiped his eyes. "He had the stem of the banana in his ear," he said.
