Which End of the Banana Do You Talk Into?
In today's "Metropolitan Diary," there's a story of what can only be called New York street parody. A man rode the subway from 23rd Street up to 66th Street talking to half the western world on a banana. The punchline:
As the man left the train at 66th Street, the young man standing to my left wiped his eyes.
"He had the stem of the banana in his ear," he said. "I always thought that was the part you talked into."
