You Say You've Always Wanted to Crawl Through a Colon?

The Colossal Colon is coming to a city near you in 2003:

The Colossal Colon is a 40-foot long, four-foot high replica of a human colon. Visitors who crawl through the colon, or look through the viewing windows, will see healthy colon tissue, colon disease, polyps and various stages of colon cancer. The Colon was modeled after a real colon taken from colonoscopy film footage, and was built by Adirondack Scenic, known for their building of Broadway theatre sets and theme park sets.

Can you imagine the meeting where it was decided that this would be a good idea?

Is There Anything More Touching Than Young Love?

I'm glad to see that romance on college campuses is still so innocent:

"Troy walked me home to make sure I was safe, because I was pretty trashed, but he didn't even try to get me into bed," Errico said. "That's when I knew he was different. He said later that he didn't try anything because I'd puked all over myself on the way home, but I know better."

What Can I Update on my iBook?

The newest version of Chimera is now available. It now includes Netscape Talkback for bug reporting, which I have had to use more than once since upgrading. The problem may stem from the version of the Macromedia Flash Player that I have installed. The Chimera folks suggest installing the latest beta to improve stability.

There is also a new version of StuffIt Expander available for download. It seems to be a minor upgrade, but the old version will complain that a new version is available until you upgrade.
